Parent Workshops
At Hawksmoor, we run a number of Parent Workshops throughout the academic year to help parents with supporting their child in their learning at home.
See below the Powerpoint slides from any sessions we have run, as we know that not all parents/carers are able to attend.
KS1 Phonics Parent Workshop - Wednesday 27th September 2023
The workshop was aimed at sharing our vision for Phonics and Early Reading with the parents and equipping them with strategies to support their child in the development of their reading skills, as well as reading for pleasure.
The parents also had the opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification regarding Early Reading at Hawksmoor.
Feedback from the survey at the end of the session indicates 100% of the attendees strongly agree that the workshop was very useful (16 out of 16 parents who completed the feedback sheet). The other parent agrees that the workshop was useful.
